Addition of trademark information the Russian Federation Customs Register of intellectual property objects:

• Preparation and filing an application for the registration of the trademark in the Russian Federation Customs Register. Up to 10 working days. The application should provide full information about the rights’ owner, its products as well as the ways and the means of the goods’ transportation to the Russian Federation territory;
• Correspondence with the Federal Customs service. In the framework of this correspondence the important additional information is agreed upon which may be used by the Customs service for the effective execution of its function to reveal the counterfeiting goods. Up to 2 months.
• Trademark registration in the Russian Federation Customs Register of intellectual property objects. Upon receipt of favorable decision of the Federal Customs service the trademark information is added to the Customs Register for the term of up to 2 years. Beginning from the day of registration the Customs service shall control the movement of goods marked with the trademarks similar or being the same with the trademarks of the rights’ owner. In the occasion of violations by the third parties the transportation of the counterfeiting goods will be ceased and the rights’ owner shall be informed. Simultaneously a case will be started in regard to the violator.
